New Free Will Scheme launched

We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with Parker Bullen LLP who have made us their Charity of the Year 2024, we will be launching a Free Will Scheme from the 1 October 2024.

With the launch of this new Scheme, we are encouraging local people to make or amend their Will for free. In return, while there is no obligation, we hope that you will consider leaving us a gift in your Will to help secure the future of hospice care in Andover.

Karen Clarkson, Marketing and Business Development Manager for Parker Bullen LLP, commented on the scheme, “We are so pleased to be able to support The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust with their Free Wills Scheme.  We have thoroughly enjoyed working with them over recent months as our Charity of the Year, visiting the wonderful hospice itself, taking part in their 10@10 Charity walk and other initiatives.  The fact we can further support them in this way while also helping break down barriers for those who have been putting off drafting or updating their Will is important to us to ensure everyone has access to writing this important document to protect their future.”

Charity Director, Michele Gard, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Parker Bullen LLP on our new Free Wills Scheme. Legacies are vital to the future of our hospice, ensuring that we can continue providing compassionate care and support to our patients and their families. This partnership offers a meaningful way for individuals to secure their own future while making a lasting difference in our community.”

Why make a Will

Having a valid Will is the only way you can ensure that your home, possessions and money go the people you care most about. Without a Will, you will be dying intestate, which means your property and possessions will be distributed according to intestacy laws. By creating a Will, you can ensure that your assets are given to the people or organisations you choose, such as family members, friends, or charities.
