Remember Someone Special
Many people choose to support The Countess of Brecknock Hospice in memory of someone they love. For them, it’s a positive way to pay tribute to a loved one while helping many others receive compassionate care at the end of their lives.
Ways to commemorate your loved one
First of all, thank you. We know that losing a loved one is very painful and we are so grateful that you are considering helping The Countess of Brecknock Hospice at this time. If you’re going through bereavement and would like to talk to someone about the ways in which we can help, please contact us on 01264 359789.
For some, supporting a charity in memory of a loved one can help with the grieving process. Donating to a cause or dedicating a fundraising effort can be a good way to celebrate the life and legacy of a loved one. You could also commemorate your loved one with their name on our Eternal Tree.
Choose your way to pay tribute
There are several ways that you, your family and friends can donate towards our work – if you have any questions please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss any of them with you.
Set up a tribute page with MuchLoved
If you’ve lost someone special to you, creating a tribute page with MuchLoved is a wonderful way to celebrate their life, while helping us to support other families when they need it most. As your own special tribute, this online page can become a place of comfort to visit at any time or place, in order to help you remember and reflect. MuchLoved is a completely free service. It takes around ten minutes to set up, in the comfort of your own home, on your smartphone or your computer.
Your tribute page provides a lasting space to remember and celebrate a loved one, while also allowing you and others to support the hospice through donations. With MuchLoved, you can share photos, stories, and memories with friends and family, send virtual flowers, plan events, light tribute candles, or leave condolence messages – creating a meaningful online memorial that will be yours to keep forever.
You can set up a tribute page here. You can also search for someone’s tribute page here.
If you need any help setting up or managing your page, please get in touch.
Dedicate a leaf on our Eternal Tree
Our Eternal Tree is a beautiful, handcrafted copper wall sculpture set in the family area of our Inpatient Unit. You can add an engraved maple leaf to the branches to create a stunning artwork and a lasting collection of memories and special messages. You are welcome to visit the hospice to see your leaf.

Collect funeral donations
Many supporters of our The Countess of Brecknock Hospice ask for donations in lieu of flowers at funerals; we are very grateful to those who choose to support us in this way. Asking friends and family to make a donation is a long-lasting and meaningful tribute to loved ones you have lost.
For cash donations, we can supply collection tins. For online donations, setting up a MuchLoved Tribute Fund is a beautiful and personal way to pay tribute to a loved one, where you can invite friends and family to donate through your page.
We kindly ask that any cheques are addressed to: The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust.
